2016 NFL Mock Draft: Side By Side Mock

Zach’s Mock
Chaz’s Mock

  1. Tennessee Titans: Myles Jack, LB, UCLA - Now that Ramsey is cool at this pick i need to predict something new. Jack gets me all hot and bothered with his athletic ability. Dick LeBeau will turn Jack loose.

  1. Cleveland Browns: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss - The Browns ling got very average in Free Agency. Joe Thomas is at ends with the organization as well. Tunsil will keep RG3 from being mauled and makes Thomas more flexible to the team.

  1. San Diego Chargers: Joey Bosa, DE/Rush, Ohio State - I feel like the Chargers draft pass rushers like the Bengals draft corners. It never ends up well, but Bosa is a different story. He reminds me of Kerrigan when he moved to the 34 defense.

  1. Dallas Cowboys: Jalen Ramsey, CB/S, Florida State - They Cowboys don’t really have a face of their defense anymore. Ramsey can be played at corner or safety and will make an instant impact.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame - I don’t like either of the Jags tackles, including Loeckel. To continue to progress that offense they need to solidify their tackle position.

  1. Baltimore Ravens: DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon - Word on the street is the Ravens are looking to get bigger upfront. It doesn’t get much bigger or more athletic than Buckner. He can be a difference maker in both the running and passing game.

  1. San Francisco 49ers: Jared Goff, QB, Cal - I don’t buy that Kaepernick stays in San Fran or if they want him there. Even if he’s there this year Goff is too good to pass up from a talent perspective and a marketing perspective.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (From Miami): Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida - I don’t buy this Zeke Elliot lock to the Eagles. The Eagles secondary is horrid, and Hargreaves is going to be a stud. Until the Eagles unload Matthews this is my pick.

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Josh Doctson, WR, TCU - Time to get Vincent Jackson off the books, but keep the two receiver system in play. Doctson is from that AJ Green/DeVante Parker build and will be a perfect compliment to Evans. #MakeJameisMoreFamous

  1. New York Giants: Reggie Ragland, ILB, Alabama - The Giants linebacking corps is putrid. That’s the nicest word I could think of. Ragland is a guy that will come in and bust people’s teeth on a weekly basis.

  1. Chicago Bears: Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State - I don’t buy Bobbie Massie as the Bears left tackle. I do if it is Jack Conklin. He’s the typical Big 10/NFC North left tackle that will go to war each week. He reminds me of D'brickashaw Ferguson which I will take all day long.

  1. New Orleans Saints: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss - Sean Payton and Drew Brees forever! To make that formula successful it would be nice to pair Treadwell with Cooks. Now you have the power to match the speed.

  1. Miami Dolphins (From Philadelphia): Ezekiel Elliot, RB, Ohio State - Now I’ll buy Elliot at this point in the draft. I’m not sure Elliot is close to Gurley in overall ability, or that the Dolphins shouldn’t fill a different need here, but this is a BPA pick that happens to fill a need for Miami.

  1. Oakland Raiders: Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State - I’m not sure how the Raiders line will shake out, but Decker will be a Pro Bowl caliber right tackle. Protect Carr so he and Cooper can tear up defenses.

  1. Los Angeles Rams: Darron Lee, OLB, Ohio State - Jeff Fisher says Case Keenum is your guy Rams fans so enjoy that. On the other side of the ball they add a hyper-athletic playmaker to fly sideline to sideline.

  1. Detroit Lions: Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor - I love Billings as a penetrating 3 tech to make up for the loss of Suh. Billings will bring tenacity back to the Lions front four.

  1. Atlanta Falcons: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson - Dan Quinn is getting the band back together by drafting another Clemson pass rusher. Lawson’s motor is relentless and he will do everything in his power to get the pressure or sack.

  1. Indianapolis Colts: Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia - The Colts defense was a dumpster fire last season, but Floyd can bring a spark to many facets of the defense. His Combine numbers were off the charts, so the Colts keep him in Indy.

  1. Buffalo Bills: Noah Spence, DE/OLB, Eastern Kentucky - Noah Spence is a Rex Ryan pass rusher if I’ve ever seen one. I think Ryan will really light a fire under Spence and get the most out of him.

  1. New York Jets: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State - There is roughly zero chance Wentz falls this far, but we’ve seen crazier things. Wentz has all the tools, but will need a strong team around him to get him to a final product.

  1. Washington: Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State - Washington needs to keep working to retool their secondary. As of now the back end of their defence could be their fatal flaw in making another NFC East run.

  1. Houston Texans: Adolphus Washington, DT, Ohio State - Washington tends to be undervalued and would be a great compliment to Watt. This front three frees up Houston’s linebackers to make more plays while still making plays of their own.

  1. Minnesota Vikings: Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor - The Vikings need to get Teddy Bridgewater at least one reliable receiver in this draft. Coleman comes off as a burner, but I feel like he’s more of a fast Jarvis Landry. His technique is really nice and it allows him to catch a lot of balls.

  1. Cincinnati Bengals: Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame - The Bengals receivers are now AJ Green and… that’s it. If Fuller can fix his drops he could be a big problem to defend. Worst case he’s a burner and takes the top off.

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers: William Jackson III, CB, Houston - I love Jackson, and what he brings to the field. He’s the best zone corner in the class and he will vastly improve the Steelers secondary.

  1. Seattle Seahawks: Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State - Ogbah is great value at this point, so this is more of a BPA pick. Bennett and Avril are ageing, so Ogbah can slowly work his way into the lineup as a starter.

  1. Green Bay Packers: Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA - Hopefully the Packers don’t manage to ruin another UCLA lineman. Clark can come in day one and man the nose tackle spot that has been void in Green Bay for a while.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville - No more Mike Devito please. Rankins would be a great 34 defensive end. He will be able to play the run and apply pressure off the edge.

  1. New England Patriots: Pick Forfeited for DeflateGate

  1. Arizona Cardinals: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson - Alexander would be the perfect number two corner to Patrick Peterson. Alexander doesn’t offer much more than an off man corner. Maybe Peterson can enhance his ceiling.

  1. Carolina Panthers: Darian Thompson, S, Boise State - I love Darian Thompson’s skillset, regardless of his 40 time. The Panthers safeties are good, but I think Thompson is another step up.

  1. Denver Broncos: Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis - The Broncos may need to move up to get Lynch. Lynch is a physical talent for sure, so he can sit behind Mark Sanchez until he’s reached as awful as the Broncos can take.

  • Miami sends 8th pick overall to Philadelphia for the 13th pick overall, Kiko Alonso, and Byron Maxwell.

  1. Cleveland Browns: Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State
  2. Tennessee Titans: Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana
  3. Dallas Cowboys: Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama
  4. San Diego Chargers: Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss
  5. Baltimore Ravens: Germain Ifedi, OT, Texas A&M
  6. San Francisco 49ers: Cody Whitehair, G, Kansas State
  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson
  8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Vonn Bell, S, Ohio State
  9. New York Giants: Tyler Boyd, WR, Pitt
  10. Chicago Bears: Shilique Calhoun, DE, Michigan State
  11. Miami Dolphins: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
  12. Los Angeles Rams (From Philadelphia): Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame (Injury)
  13. Oakland Raiders: Su’a Cravens, OLB, USC
  14. Los Angeles Rams: Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State
  15. Detroit Lions: Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia
  16. New Orleans Saints: Jonathan Bullard, DE/DT, Florida
  17. Indianapolis: Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama
  18. Buffalo Bills: Jerald Hawkins, OT, LSU
  19. Atlanta Falcons: Xavien Howard, CB, Baylor
  20. New York Jets: Kyler Fackrell, LB, Utah State
  21. Houston Texans: Nick Martin, C, Notre Dame
  22. Washington: Jalen Mills, S, LSU
  23. Minnesota Vikings: La’Raven Clark, OT, Texas Tech
  24. Cincinnati Bengals: A’Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama
  25. Seattle Seahawks: Shon Coleman, OT, Auburn
  26. Green Bay Packers: Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas
  27. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jayron Kearse, S, Clemson
  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Vadal Alexander, G, LSU
  29. New England Patriots: Kamalei Correa, OLB, Boise State
  30. New England Patriots (From Arizona Cardinals): Zack Sanchez, CB, Oklahoma
  31. Carolina Panthers: Joshua Garnett, G, Stanford
  32. Denver Broncos: Joshua Perry, OLB, Ohio State

  • Los Angeles acquire the 43rd overall pick from Philadelphia in last year’s Sam Bradford trade.
  • New England sends Chandler Jones to Arizona for the 62nd pick overall, and Jonathan Cooper.

1.Tennessee Titans: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss- Tunsil is the best tackle prospect I have seen in awhile, and this gives the Titans the chance to have a set of book-end tackles to protect Mariota for a decade.

2.Cleveland Browns: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame- I have said it before, Joe Thomas has been on the Browns chopping block for the last year. They know the stability a franchise tackle can provide and they have a chance at an incredible prospect here, and honestly, this draft is far too talented to waste a pick on a QB this high when they just picked up RG3.

3.San Diego Chargers: Jalen Ramsey, CB/S, FSU- I think the Chargers are prime team to trade down, but for the sake of this mock, they dont. Ramsey is one of the best secondary prospects we have seen in awhile and he can play anywhere back there. I liken Ramsey to Byron Jones WITH all of the technical ability. The Chargers lost Weddle and are somehow always in the search for corners.

4.Dallas Cowboys: Myles Jack, LB, UCLA- Jack is a god. Not much to question. Cowboys need plenty of help on that D. Sean Lee is a question, Gregory is suspended, and Mcclain could go anywhere in his second year with the boys, but Jack is a sure thing, and they havent had a sure thing since Ware.

5.Jacksonville Jaguars: Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida- The Jags are a weird team. I want to give them a pass rusher, but a lot of us forget they’re getting Fowler back. Hargreaves is a star in the making.

6.Baltimore Ravens: Deforest Buckner, DE, Oregon- The Ravens need to rebuild that defense. CJ Mosely is the real in the middle. Buckner is a massive athletic force that has the ability to strengthen both facets of that defense.

7.San Francisco 49ers: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State- The Niners have plenty of holes but they were at their best when Aldon Smith was being a terror off the edge. Chip Kelly isnt a defense guy. So i trust chip could make a lot with less on offense, but he needs that talent on defense. Im not a Bosa fan, but getting him here, and knowing their needs at linebacker and end, everyone is happy.

8.Philadelphia Eagles (From Miami): Ezekial Elliott, RB, Ohio State- Zakk doesnt buy it, but I do. The Eagles new coach is Doug Pederson. Here are the running backs he has had in the past: Brian Westbrook, Jamaal Charles. Pederson knows the value of a franchise running back, why would he change that now?

9.Tampa Bay Buccaneers: William Jackson III, CB, Houston- Tampa is in desperate need of a corner. This draft is loaded with man/press players and i dont anticipate the Bucs running a man system down their with their personnel, and William Jackson is an incredible off/zone corner.

10. New York Giants: Reggie Ragland, LB, Bama- Zakk and I will agree on this for a while. The giants need Ragland, and considering how Ragland plays, he needs them, The Giants will allow Rags to come in and just play the physical style he plays because they are really just looking for any improvement at this point, and with Snacks up front, the Giants will be solid right in the middle for the next 6-7 years.

11.Chicago Bears: Noah Spence, OLB, EKU- I really like what they have in Fuller, and they just picked up Trevathan to hold it down inside. They really need someone to rush the pass, and they get their guy.

12.New Orleans Saints: Joshua Doctson, WR, TCU- At this rate, Brees will be able to throw for 5000 yards a year for the next decade. Jeez.

13.Miami Dolphins (From Philadelphia): Jack Conklin, OT, MSU- The fins line needs work if they want their franchise guy to get the most out of their young weapons. Conklin Starts at RT, James moves inside, and when Albert gets hurt they're still fine.

14.Oakland Raiders: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss- The Raiders put themselves in a good spot to potentially go BPA. Here, that’s Treadwell, plus he fills a need. Crabtree is a good, but putting legitimate young talent across from Cooper for Carr to work with is a great spot to be in.

15.Los Angeles Rams: Jared Goff, QB, Cal- The California kid, Jared Goff. What better way to sell tickets? Case Keenum isnt going to be the guy, don’t kid yourselves. The Rams need plenty of work, but they need a QB eventually.

16.Detroit Lions: Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State- I love me some Taylor Decker. This guy is an animal, and after a couple of year on the right side, he could me a great transition to left. I dont know if I trust him at left right away. This move, with Laken Tomlinson, gives the Lions a nice young line to work with.

17.Atlanta Falcons: Miles Killebrew, S, Southern Utah- I know, this is big. Dan Quinn had Chancellor and Thomas in Seattle. He knows how important safeties and the best way to describe Killebrews style of play is VIOLENT. His size allows him to play anywhere in the secondary and he could suffice at OLB. The Falcons got their pass rusher in Beasely last year. So now they can crack some heads.

18.Indianapolis Colts: Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame- I dont trust ryan grigson, so i think this is a move hed make. This isn’t really a bad move, but it might not see immediate results. If the colts are willing to wait for Smith to get back to full speed, theyll get the most talented player in the draft for an absolute bargain, filling a huge need.

19.Buffalo Bills: Leonard Floyd. OLB, Georgia- Quinton Coples flashbacks are strong. Floyd is an odd prospect with massive size and fits well in a 4-3, but hes good enough to produce in a 3-4. Rex can move this guy around from end to olb, and get plenty of production out of him.

20.New York Jets: Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis- Wentz is the better prospect, but Lynch fits much better in Chan Gailey’s spread. Memphis offense was quick and Lynch threw plenty of balls. He has an enormous frame and sneaky mobility. Oh, and the Jets need a QB, BADLY.

21.Washington: Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State- The Skins need plenty of help but it all starts up front. Ogbah is a crazy athlete for his size and plays like a grown man. There hasnt been a real force on that D since Orakpos best years.

22.Houston Texans: Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor- The Texans are high on coleman, very high. They need him now more than ever since they have a real QB (at least someone that gets paid like one). With the recent arrest of Jalen Strong, they need someone reliable to play with Hopkins.

23.Minnesota Vikings: Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame- The Vikes offense is BORING. They need some spark and Fuller is absolute lightning. He isnt polished, and doesnt have the best hands, but hes a playmaker, and you can pass on that when you need it.

24.Cincinnati Bengals: Tyler Boyd, WR, Pitt- The Bengals lost 2 WR’s in one offseason. Thats a big problem. Boyd is a really good option and is a good blend of power/size/speed to fill the roles of jones/sanu.

25.Pittsburgh Steelers: Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State- I think the Steelers are going to play a little more man now that their lb’s are developing nicely and can get after the QB, and Apple is a solid man CB.

26.Seattle Seahawks: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson- The Seahawks are a weird team as far as needs go. They have the chance to go BPA here, and Shaq is a great prospect that can take over when Avril is done there.

27.Green Bay Packers: Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State- The PAckers LB core is a mess. Where does clay matthews really play? I dont know, but what i do know is they get a guy in lee that to me, can play any LB spot. A great, versatile athlete that can rush the pass and plug holes.

28.Kansas City Chiefs: Carson Wentz, QB, NDSU- This isnt going to happen, well, maybe, but probably not. Wentz as an elite talent but could really benefit from a couple of years worth of development. The chiefs have other needs, but anytime you can get an elite talent and setup a “bridge”, you make that call.

New England Patriots: Pick Forfeited for generally below average penis size among fanbase.

29.Arizona Cardinals: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson- The Cardinals have needed some pass rush help, but after getting chandler jones, theyre in good shape. They really don’t have a lot of holes, so they beef up their secondary by adding a shutdown corner to play opposite PP.

30.Carolina Panthers: Derrick Henry, RB, Bama- I have had this pick for a while now. The Panthers have two, talented young WR’s, a talented young QB...and Jonathan Stewart. I know he went to the pro bowl and blah blah blah, but he is far from electrifying, reliable, or consistent (aside from consistently mediocre). Huge upgrade here.

31.Denver Broncos: Connor Cook, QB, MSU- The only QB’s on the broncos roster are Mark Sanchez and Trevor Simien. I don’t need to write more.

Miami sends 8th pick overall to Philadelphia for the 13th pick overall, Kiko Alonso, and Byron Maxwell.

32. Cleveland Browns: Jonathan Bullard, DE/DT, Florida
33.Tennessee Titans: Shilique Calhoun, DE, Michigan State
34.Dallas Cowboys: Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor
35.San Diego Chargers: Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana
36.Baltimore Ravens:Cody Whitehair, G, Kansas State
37.San Francisco 49ers: Germain Ifedi, OT, Texas A&M
38.Jacksonville Jaguars: Nick Martin, C, Notre Dame
39.Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Darian Thompson, S, Boise State
40.New York Giants: Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State
41.Chicago Bears: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
42.Miami Dolphins: Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss
43.Los Angeles Rams (From Philadelphia): Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State
44.Oakland Raiders: La’Raven Clark, OT, Texas Tech
45.Los Angeles Rams: Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas
46.Detroit Lions: Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson
47.New Orleans Saints: Su’a Cravens, OLB, USC
48.Indianapolis: Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia
49.Buffalo Bills: Jerald Hawkins, OT, LSU
50.Atlanta Falcons: Vadal Alexander, G, LSU
51.New York Jets: Kamalei Correa, OLB, Boise State
52.Houston Texans:Adolphus Washington, DT, Ohio State
53.Washington: Xavien Howard, CB, Baylor
54.Minnesota Vikings: Sterling Shepard, WR, Oklahoma
55.Cincinnati Bengals: Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville
56.Seattle Seahawks: Shon Coleman, OT, Auburn
57.Green Bay Packers: Jerell Adams, TE, South Carolina
58.Pittsburgh Steelers: Vonn Bell, S, Ohio State
59.Kansas City Chiefs: Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA
60.New England Patriots: Joshua Garnett, G, Stanford
61.New England Patriots (From Arizona Cardinals): Jayron Kearse, S, Clemson
62.Carolina Panthers: Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama
63.Denver Broncos: Chris Jones, DT, Mississippi State

Los Angeles acquire the 43rd overall pick from Philadelphia in last year’s Sam Bradford trade.
New England sends Chandler Jones to Arizona for the 62nd pick overall, and Jonathan Cooper.
